This is the thesis paper written by Oregon State University graduate Katie MacKendrick. This paper accompanies the presentation on Climate Change and how it has affected Hoopa Valley. MacKendrick presents a summary of her Master Thesis wherein she interviewed 15 Hoopa Valley Tribal members about what they have witnessed regarding changes in the climate over the decades. She also researched current climate changes to find insights to policies other communities have put in place to address climate change. This discussion is a starting point with good information for the Hoopa Valley to make policies of our own.
